Understanding Travel Agent Service Fees & the Value of Expert Planning
Many travelers may not be familiar with travel agent service fees. While some agencies have always had fees, they have become more common since COVID-19. This shift highlights the expertise, experience, and personalized service that professional travel consultants provide. Travel planning involves extensive research, coordination, and support—yet many aspects of this work remain uncompensated.
The pandemic brought this to light when travel agents spent countless hours canceling client reservations, resulting in a complete loss of commissions since agents are only paid when travel is completed. Additionally, some suppliers—especially airlines—do not offer commissions at all. Travel agents also often share their commissions with host agencies, making service fees an essential part of sustaining high-quality, dedicated service.
To ensure that we can fully focus on clients who are serious about booking their travels with us, we charge a nominal consultation fee. This allows us to provide exceptional, personalized service, including an average response time of just three hours during business hours—and 24/7 support for clients currently traveling. As a small business, we offer start-to-finish guidance, meaning you’ll always work with the same travel expert rather than being passed between representatives of a larger company.
We also understand that many prospective clients have general travel questions or want to explore whether their dream destination fits within their budget. That’s why we offer a FREE 30-minute consultation before committing to any service fees. This allows us to discuss your travel goals, answer key questions, and determine if we’re the right fit for planning your perfect getaway—all at no cost to you.
Most importantly, our service fees are only applied to the services you request. For example, if you prefer to research and book your own flights, you will not be charged a flight planning fee.

Consultation & Service fees apply AFTER your initial FREE consultation. This includes travel within the United States (including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico), Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. All consultation fees are pre-paid and non-refundable. You only pay for the services you want. Consultation fees are waived on our advertised deals and packages (cancellation fees still apply). Non-group reservations totaling more than $10,000, the $99 is refunded within 48 hrs of departure.

A service fee in the amount of $100 will be charged for each roundtrip ticket we book for you. This is because airlines don't pay commission so in order to be compensated for our work, a service fee must be charged - if we research and book your flights. If you handle your flights yourself, you do not pay this fee.
This is for any group of more than 6 people. Each additional person above 6 is an additional $15. You can find our client intake form here once you're ready to begin planning.
If you already have your accommodations booked and need only itinerary planning, this covers up to a 5-day domestic itinerary.
Consultation & Service fees apply AFTER your initial FREE consultation. This includes travel for most international destinations like Europe, Asia, Australia, South Pacific, Egypt, South America, etc. All service fees are pre-paid and non-refundable. You only pay for the services you want. Consultation fees are waived on our advertised deals and packages (cancellation fees still apply). Non-group reservations totaling more than $15,000, the fee is refunded within 48 hrs of departure.
Itinerary planning and booking for 1-3 cities, up to 10 nights, for up to 6 people. Includes planning and booking of up to 5 activities/excursions, and 3 accommodation quotes per city. **Does NOT include flight planning/booking.

One of the advantages of having a travel agent is that we can help direct you to correct information on government sites. This will help ensure you have all the documents, visas, vaccinations, etc. required for entry into your destination(s). We provide this assistance as a courtesy to our clients, however, following through with the required obligations is the responsibility of the client.
We are NOT responsible for obtaining such travel documents for you.
A service fee in the amount of $100 will be charged for each roundtrip ticket. For groups over 6 people. $50 per person over 6 people on international travel.

Due to the loss of commissions for agents that occur in the cancellation of bookings, a cancellation fee will be charged for canceling your travel plans. Understandably, this is done to ensure agents are paid and compensated for their work. We understand that emergencies arise and ALWAYS VERY STRONGLY ADVISE THAT CLIENTS OBTAIN TRAVEL INSURANCE THAT MAY COVER ANY POTENTIAL LOSSES OR PENALTIES THAT MAY OCCUR DUE TO THEIR CANCELLATION.
A cancellation fee in the amount of 15% of the total booking amount through our agency.
For example, if we book your accommodations and the total booking cost is $800, your cancellation fee would be $120. As an additional example, if your total booking/trip is $10,000, your cancellation fee would be $1,500.
WE VERY STRONGLY ADVISE CLIENTS TO OBTAIN TRAVEL INSURANCE THAT MAY COVER POTENTIAL LOSSES OR PENALTIES THAT MAY OCCUR DUE TO THEIR CANCELLATION.
